National Champs!!!

Got back from Florida last week and all I have to say is it was the best dance competition ever! Best way to end the season, and possibly my dance team career. I love my Fullerton ladies so much and am so happy we were able to share the experience together. I hope we can all stay in touch and hang out over the summer.

School news: Going to Eugene, OR on Thursday to visit UO with my mom and little sister. Hopefully that will help me decide whether I want to go there or not. I finally heard back from Hawaii (after about 6 months of waiting) and I got a huge tuition decrease for the Western Exchange Program. So now the question is whether I should go there or not... Ughhh I hate having to make these decisions. Hawaii has beautiful whether, lots of culture, and a fun laid back lifestyle. But, Oregon has great athletics, the college campus feel, and cheap living expenses. On the downside, in Hawaii I might get island fever and the lifestyle may be difficult to get used to. Oregon is much too gloomy for my taste and maybe also a bit too earthy for what I'm used to. So, now I am hoping to plan a trip to Hawaii to visit the school (too bad I didn't think about that back in Summer '09 when we were right down the street for vacation). I'll get back to this decision after I am back from my visits!

After I get back from Oregon, it'll only be a few days until my 21st bday :) I'm excited to get together with all of my friends and party the night away! But, I have to make sure to wake up in time the next morning to board my flight to Berkeley!!! I'm stoked to visit Lauren and Katy and celebrate Lauren and my 21st birthdays together! It's gonna be a blast :)

In the Hunt

It's been a while... Deal with it.

I can't believe the break is over and spring semester is about to begin. Among the madness of serving, coaching, dancing, and school, I have found little reflection time. The major thing on my mind is transferring to a 4-year. I've applied to several cal states, u of arizona, u of hawaii, and u of oregon. I might still apply to ut in austin (in hopes that the second time's a charm). Although cal poly slo was the immediate favorite, I've started to lean a bit towards u of oregon. Seems a lot like Boulder (a little less sunshine/snow and a bit more rain... we'll see if i can deal with that) and has everything I look for in a school. It has awesome football (#1 or #2 in the country!), beautiful scenery, a sense of school spirit, is a pretty large school, and has a good kinesiology program. The cheap housing is a plus! You can't find housing that cheap anywhere in cali :( Cal Poly is still in the race. It just lacks in the school spirit and football areas. However, the weather may be a bit more my scene. Arizona is an option as well and is the only school that I have gotten an acceptance from so far. The other schools I am considering are csuf (dad's vote but definitely not mine), csulb (a longshot and not the area i'd like to live in). a sfsu (an awesome area but no school pride either).

So, hopefully I will get into most of those schools and will have my options open. At this point it's a waiting game. Good thing I have a busy semester planned so I'm not anxiously awaiting the next mail delivery.

Time to get some sleep (any free time these days needs to be spent charging up for everything that is to come). Acceptance updates will hopefully be coming soon!
